The ATC-BLOX functionality is based around handling and working with Air Traffic Control (ATC) messages – FPL, CHG, DLA, CNL, ACK, REJ, etc.
Typically, a Flight-Ops display board will show the current status of all monitored flights. Functionality available within ATC-BLOX enables the Air Traffic Control status of each monitored flight to be easily determined. Which, in turn, makes it easy to provide visual indicators for each flight’s ATC status on a Flight Ops display.
Within a flight-planning workflow, a typical requirement will involve filing flights with ATC as well as managing delays, changes, and cancellations to those flights. ATC-BLOX makes creating these ATC messages easy, ensuring that each message's structure is syntactically correct. It also transparently handles the subtle differences in capability between various ATC systems.
The AIRCRAFT-BLOX functionality is based around handling and working with aircraft, aircraft performance data, aircraft equipment etc.
There are many cases within the bounds of flight planning operations where it is necessary to know details about the aircraft being used. This part of the API delivers easy access to working with Aircraft information.
The NOTAM-BLOX functionality is provides a wealth of functionality designed to make working with NOTAM information quick and easy.
The art of good flight briefing is to strike a balance between ensuring no important information is omitted and overwhelming the pilot with irrelevant information. The NOTAM-BLOX functionality allows sophisticated filters to be defined and applied to NOTAM retrieval. This ensures that the information returned is relevant and does not contain more information than is necessary. Additionally, important information can be prioritized and highlighted. If you want quick and easy route specific information simply pass in a route.
Published NOTAMs are only half the picture when it comes to NOTAM briefing. Often Aircraft Operators want to supplement briefing material with their own information. NOTAM-BLOX allows user specified text and documents to be added. It also allows for Company NOTAMs to have usage rules defined, ensuring that only relevant and necessary information is retrieved.
ROUTE-BLOX functionality supports working with a flight's route.
ROUTE-BLOX makes it very easy to determine what overflight permits are required for a route. Or to simply retrieve a list of airspaces that route uses.
If you need a database of routes along with a detailed breakdown of their use and validity this can easily be achived by linking functionality in ATC-BLOX with the functionality found in ROUTE-BLOX
The WEATHER-BLOX functions are designed to make working with aviation weather data quick and painless.
Access to weather for departure and arrival airports as well as relevant enroute weather can easily be accessed and incorporated into flight briefing material
Parameters can easily be set up to define critical, moderate and good weather conditions. Systems can then subscribe to notifications for automatic alerts when conditions change or are forecast to change.
The COMMON-BLOX functions are general functions for working with aviation data and information.
